　　Good morning dear teachers, I feel glad to be a candidate standing here for applying the position of English Teacher in your school. I think It is a pleasure for me to present myself. My name is xxx，and I am 23 years old. I was born in Kunming, and it is my hometown that I have lived for more than 20 years. I love this city, especially the nice people that I know and the great culture that I love. So working in here was a decision that I made long time ago.

　　In 20xx I was admitted by Yunnan University, majored in International Trade. The four-year undergraduate education provided me a wide range of academic knowledge and practical capabilities in many aspects. By studying this major, I passed CET-6 exam in 20xx and get a degree in economics. I gained an international perspective, not only in my own field, but any other aspects as well. I prefer to focus on the latest global information everyday and I am interested in social event, culture and humanity. Moreover, the college education experience offered me a great opportunity to give full play to my creativity and intelligence, in particular I was been trained to be a good communicator during all sorts of college activities, for instance, I have learned how to cooperate with others since I participated in student union, I was aware of how to deeply understand others and how to combine different opinions by doing various social activates.

　　After graduation, I get an opportunity to have an internship in an elementary school. I was assigned to be an English teacher for almost one year and had a great time in there. During this year, I obtained the qualification certificate for teacher in an excellent score, and I have practiced my professional expertise in teaching within two semesters. Now I realized that I want to be a good teacher and prefer to continue my educational career in order to perfected my teaching abilities and demonstrate my personal ambitions in the domain of education.

　　Briefly, based on my four years university education and two semester’s internship, I have competence to be an English teacher. I am familiar with most affairs in elementary school not only in teaching but also other administrations. What’s more, I have many hobbies and strengths, for example, I like singing and dancing, which can be benefit to my teaching process. 　　When a sophomore I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. In 1997 I participated in simulation tool development for the schexxng system in Prof. Wang’s lab. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab I designed a simulation program for transportation schexxng system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. In 1998 I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis &dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

　　In 1999 I joined the distinguished Professor Yu-Geng xis research group aiming at Network flow problem solving and Heuristic algorithm research. Soon I was engaged in the FuDan Gene Database Design. My duty was to pick up the useful information among different kinds of gene matching format. Through the comparison and analysis for many heuristic algorithms I introduced an improved evolutionary algorithm -- Multi-population Genetic Algorithm. By dividing a whole population into several sub-populations this improved algorithm can effectively prevent GA from local convergence and promote various evolutionary orientations. It proved more efficiently than SGA in experiments too. In the second semester I joined the workshop-schexxng research in Shanghai Heavy Duty Tyre plant. The schexxng was designed for the rubber-making process that covered not only discrete but also continuous circumstances. To make a balance point between optimization quality and time cost I proposed a Dynamic layered Schexxng method based on hybrid Petri Nets. The practical application showed that the average makespan was shortened by a large scale. I also publicized two papers in core journals with this idea. Recently I am doing research in the Composite Predict of the Electrical Power system assisted with the technology of Data Mining for Bao Steel. I try to combine the Decision Tree with Receding Optimization to provide a new solution for the Composite Predictive Problem. This project is now under construction.

　　Besides In July 20xx I got the opportunity to give a lecture in English in Asia Control Conference (ASCC) which is one of the top-level conferences among the world in the area of control and automation. In my senior year I met Prof. xiao-Song Lin a visiting professor of mathematics from University of California-Riverside I learned graph theory from him for my network research. These experiences all rapidly expanded my knowledge of English and the understanding of western culture.

　　I hope to study in depth.

　　In retrospect I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Schexxng Problem Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network) Supply chain network research Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.
